Why Southeast Wisconsin Roofs Need a Local Contractor
Roofs here do not fail the way they do in milder states. They fail from freeze-thaw. Meltwater slips under shingles by day, refreezes at night, and pries the roof apart one winter at a time.
Ice dams follow. Wisconsin code requires ice dam protection on shingled roofs over heated space where the slope is 4:12 or less. Plenty of ranch homes and additions across this region sit in that zone.
Wisconsin code also caps roof layers at two. If your roof already carries two, the next job is a full tear-off, which changes both scope and price. We tell you that at the estimate, not at the invoice.
Then summer arrives. Severe weather peaks in June and July, with hail most frequent from May through July. The last two years have been rough even by local standards.
In August 2025, FEMA declared a major disaster (4892-DR-WI) after severe storms, straight-line winds, and flooding hit Milwaukee, Washington, and Waukesha counties. One Milwaukee gauge recorded 14.55 inches of rain, a state 24-hour record.
In April 2026, the region saw 16 confirmed tornadoes in a single week, with softball-size hail on April 14. An EF2 tornado near Sussex in Waukesha County carried 120 mph winds along a 3.2-mile path.
In June 2026, thunderstorms pushed winds of 60 to 70 mph across Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Kenosha counties, with isolated gusts over 80 mph.
Storm damage is also an insurance matter with real deadlines. Insurance deadlines and claim-payment requirements can vary by policy and circumstances. Document storm damage promptly, review your policy, and contact your insurer as soon as possible. Getting an inspection quickly, not next season, keeps you inside every deadline.

How Our Coverage Works
Everything runs out of one dispatch point: 2875 S Moorland Rd, New Berlin, WI 53151.
That puts us at the center of the service map. Waukesha, Brookfield, and Muskego are short drives. Milwaukee County cities like Franklin, Oak Creek, and Cudahy are close behind. Northern communities like Mequon, Germantown, and Fox Point take a bit longer. Racine and Kenosha are at the far edge of the map, and we plan those routes honestly rather than promising arrival times we cannot keep.
We are a NARI member and a CertainTeed ShingleMaster PRO contractor, which lets us offer SureStart PLUS warranty options. Coverage depends on the roofing system and warranty tier selected, and we review the applicable terms with you before installation.
